Love your World was a vision given to me in May of 2015. It feels like longer. It almost feels as if its always been a part of my heart and in that moment over 3 years ago, God brought so much together in the matter of seconds.
Since that moment, I have been waiting. Waiting for when God would fully call me into this reality. My heart flip flopped between wanting it so bad and being petrified of messing it all up. The summer of 2015, I prayed “God whatever you have to do to prepare me as a leader, do it.” That was a moment that I fully surrendered to this being a part of my future.
So much has changed since then. I have worked in nonprofits, started school part-time, and most importantly started learning how to hear God’s voice clearly and to follow his guidance. My favourite part about all of this, it is not mine. Sound weird? Here is thing, this vision was from God, and everything since has been from Him.
A really wise friend once told me that I shouldn’t fear failure, because this isn’t about me. That truth, has given me peace in every moment. I don’t need to be “ready” all I need to do is be willing to step in the direction that God calls me to, and let Him provide everything that I need. Whether this “fails” or “succeeds”, it is not my will but His.
